Former HSBC chief executive Stuart Gulliver took a new role at the fintech arm of specialist currency fund manager Millennium Global Investors.

He stepped down from HSBC in 2018 after a 40-year career in banking, including seven years at the bank’s helm. He has joined MillTechFX as a board member, one of a series of board roles since his departure.

Xavier Rolet, who led the London Stock Exchange for eight years until 2017, resigned his role as chairman of Russian fertilizer company PhosAgro after its founder, Andrey Guryev, was hit with European Union sanctions as part of the response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Sabrina Wilson, who was global co-head of futures, OTC clearing and FX prime brokerage at Citi until December, is joining crypto custodian Copper as chief operating officer. Before joining Citi in 2017, Wilson was global head of electronic and algorithmic trading at Deutsche Bank. The move continues a trend of investment bankers jumping to crypto.
